Bringing a new generation of trustees on to your board?

A concern – and commitment – on the part of many families that are in the process of welcoming a new generation of trustees to their board is to ensure that “next gen” trustees come to the work fully equipped, informed and prepared to lead. To help you meet this goal, Alchemy Philanthropy will:

• Draw on best practices internationally on foundation governance and the next generation to design your board’s expansion to include the next generation.
• Facilitate family retreats where new board members receive orientation on the roles and responsibilities of foundation trustees, as well as the history of the foundation, its achievements and working culture.
• Design bespoke next gen training programs – inhouse or out in the field – aimed at giving the new generation the skills and knowledge to work effectively as trustees.
• Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to next gen board members once onboard.
